shield switching is when you hold a + L and simultaneously press Z to switch form light shields to heavy shield

does shield switching help you maintain a larger shield while falco is pressuring you .. i mean if you are switching from lightshield to escape his combo openings and going into a full shield when pursuing him for a grab

i cant play smash right now because my controller broke haha

so can someone do it for me and tell me what the think of it
thankyou

I tried it just now against my friend. Lightshielding actually helps alot. In many cases it pushes you back just far enough so that his shine misses. This usually translates into a free grab out of your shield.I duno bout the hard shield for a grab though. Why not use the light one the entire time? Thats what I try to do.

I just lightshield by the pressure of the L or R. barely press in for light, and push in hard for strong. I don't do the R+A+Z to toggle thing

it is. it forces falco to reset his approach. By that time, you'll be so close he'll be more focused on not getting grabbed than approaching. Rolling after his last laser when he's closest to you is good, lightshielding his aerials before shines is good. up+Bing from shield after his shine also works.
