So, the problem is, Jiggs has a mad puff punch at short hop and it's spammed. it seems as tho i cant do much but up smash jiggs. how in the world should i get around the puff punch? it over prioritizes my side smash -.-

Don't up-smash much. Falco's u-smash is horrible.

I'd recommend laser spamming, and making her try to come to you.

Dair can knock them down too.

Watch out for the u-throw to rest. Always beware of the grabs.

If you see the puff punch coming, then make sure you're correctly spaced away from her. Once she tries to foward b, it shouldn't be able to hit you and you'll have a free forward smash.

P.S. Usmash is NOT horrible...

ok usmash is one of the best moves against jiggs, period. good range, good knockback, and almost instant startup.

for combos, don't go for dair -> shine combos too much. i recommend abusing dair -> grab a little more against jiggs. bthrow leads into alot of things when they don't know how to DI it. it can potentially lead into a dair -> grab (again) and nairs and such. once your opponent is more conscious of how to DI bthrow, switch between bthrow / dthrow / uthrow. they can all potentially combo.

for kills, a well placed usmash is good. trying to get in a random dtilt / bair / dthrow -> fsmash / uair will work too, just don't bother edgeguarding or doing anything too risky, especially at low %.

also, rolling away from a jigglypuff is relatively safe. even if you're playing against the smartest jigglypuff in the world, jigglypuff simple can't move fast enough to catch someone that's teching / rolling away. just NEVER tech / roll into a jiggs, it'll mean getting rested or fsmashed or something.

yea sorry for an unorganized / random post. just some thoughts about falco vs jiggs... hope it helps.

oh yea, shine -> jc grab is nice too xD

Spam shuffled back airs. It's a lot more efficient than you might think.

Yo thx alot i got wut ur sayin and i found out that dthrow upsmash works well after just about 80%. but as to the air back kick, u cant over prioritize jiggs puff punch trust me on that one -.-

be patient. make Jiggs come to you. you have lasers, he doesn't.

don't. get. grabbed. stay away from the edge as Jiggs will try to back throw gay you, or up throw rest, both suck.

I typically kill with bair. Up smash HAS helped overcome some pounds and things but def never spam it. just don't get greedy and don't give in to a Jiggs ledgecamping.

you CAN find times for up tilt and curved up ftilt to work, but not too often. if you're ever in a position to use it use down tilt, for up kills, but that's not the easiest move to land on Jiggs.

Remember that Jiggs doesn't have a vertical game to speak of as well, you gotta either be falling on her or coming from beneath her.

That was very stupid.

some advice: up-smash out of the shield works wonders (hit control stick and the c-stick up while shielding), specially as a finisher, but don't overuse it and make sure jiggs wont have enough time to retreat after she hits you with bair/fair because if she does, you'll hit the air and get kicked on the head. Laser camp works well if you are quick and don't mess up your rshl.

this is actually really helpful.i play with my teammate, like the #1 jiggs in florida, and my falco has such a hard time with it. its mostly cuz my tech skill is prtty weak and im always missing l-cancels so im always getting grabbed. but you had a lot of good ideas...peace

up throw to any air combo is good to rack up some damage, then up smash for the kill.

and do not get grabbed. Uthrow or utilt to rest works every time on spacies. If you get grabbed, do a barrel roll.

make sure to have fast teching reflexes because jiggs like to throw out full hop nairs or dash attacks if you are spamming them a lot. if you miss the tech you may get fsmash, or worse yet, mango combod.

overall the matchup is... jigglypuff is trying to gay falco with some combo, and falco is trying to control the match. (just like all falco matchups, i guess.)
