My friends are in an argument about whether falco shine is a good move to do when being chained by a marth with aerials (not chain grabbed). One of them believes it s possible to stop a marth when you have no jump and are being combo'd with the shine because of it speed and priority.

So is it better to DI or shine...(btw i believe DI is a better choice).

Falco's hit recovery is horrible. It takes him at least a second or two for him to become able to move/attack freely in the air again. DI is the way to go hands down.

you should always di
and you can only shine him if he messes up his combo so that you're out of hitstun for atleast 2 frames (so you can hit with the shine)
also he'd have to get to close to you (if its marth), remember his priority is still broken

I want to expect better of you, but I know not to
lol, even assuming that you ever get out of hitstun, Marth's aerials all hit way out of the shine hitbox. So if he's spacing stuff right, you'd shine, it would miss, and he'd hit you. Again, this is all working under the (false) assumption that you're not stuck in hitstun for the whole combo.
