Exploit found in Sys Menu 4.0

comex has found a bug in the System Menu's banner-parsing code which can be exploited to run unsigned code, even on System Menu 4.0. His unreleased POC loads the Homebrew Channel from NAND (if installed); Video is here. If it can be extended to load a DOL off the SD card, it could replace the TP-hack.

What I'm hoping for is that they find out how to get it working wit the SD Card Channel, which will complete the ironic scenario in which I can lol at for days upon end.

Also, it would pretty much help B+ out alot.

lawl, it's funny that you suddenly think this is a joke because of clicking on Comex's name.

This is all true, Igglyboo went to the IRC yesterday and linked us to the video he made of doing the process (he explained how it works even). It's the same video given from Wiibrew.org.

It isn't false or a joke in the least.

If it's that easy to install homebrew now I'm glad nintendo started banning. There would be many more MKWii hackers since it would be much easier to cheat now.
It's funny how in trying to avoid homebrew they opened up a new exploit. Or is this possible on older versions?
