Due to the lack of cat characters. There are quite a good amount of cat characters Nintendo and other game companies made but as many compare to dogs, wolves, squirrels, foxes, or even a mouse.

These are the Nintendo cats and other game companies with cat characters likely to vote for Smash!

Nintendo

Cat Mario, Meowth, Espeon, Rover, Blanka, Lethe from Fire Emblem, TAC, King Totomesu from Super Mario Land, Kat from Star Fox, and a Nintencat.

Capcom

Tango from Mega Man.

Sega

Trouble Brewin from Dynamite Headdy, Big the Cat, Blaze the cat, Popoi from Puyo Pop Fever.

Other

Blinx the time sweeper, Bubsby, Sony's Toro, and Taokaka from Blazblue.
