Not making enough to make demand??? It may be hard for them to put these Amiibos to the shelves, but they have been making Nintendo A LOT of profit. Considering how popular these Amiibos have became, its obviously hard for Nintendo to cater to the people who want Lucario, Wii Fit, Rosalina, etc. Cut them some slack.. They're trying - Don't forget that.I really am starting to think this a ploy from Nintendo now... They really ought to be seeing the pattern that they ARE NOT MAKING ENOUGH TO MEET DEMAND. To be honest, I'm getting a little angry at them now.
I mean, since the new direct revealed wave 4, I've been checking constantly for when the Amiibos come out. And AS SOON as they come out, 3 of the 5 are sold out! And not just in Nintendo's shop, but everywhere! This really isn't acceptable Nintendo. Not at all!
This means a lot coming from an emotionless HUcast such as yourself. It still baffles me Sakurai doesn't get them for free or have them reserved.
Poor guy just can't catch a break...
It's fair the say the people with this mindset are vastly outnumbered by the people who are only buying BECAUSE they are understocked. Honestly, Nintendo is probably selling more than they would if they were readily available.Well, joke's on Nintendo, because thanks to amiibos being horribly understocked, I'm not going to bother with buying ANY of them.
Nice work, Nintendo!
Even so, they should know by now that they need to make more to meet demand, not just make a pretty penny. Now I know you and I both support Nintendo, and I'm sure you love the amiibo just as much as I do.Not making enough to make demand??? Why do they have to make more to meet demand? Some companies' business model is to make a limited supply of things, so that people want them more. High end sneakers are an excellent example of this. They need to make more amiibo for everyone who wants an amiibo to get one, but maybe Nintendo doesn't care about that.Even so, they should know by now that they need to make more to meet demand, not just make a pretty penny. However, I am very disappointed that they haven't worked to fix this very obvious problem of demand being greater than supply.
As a Nintendo fanatic (who happens to be collecting all the smash bros Amiibos; they're what I've always wanted :D ), I'm still in full support of them, and I understand that it's difficult to meet demand at times, but after seeing the availability problems after Christmas, don't you think they should have learned from it...?
But that's the whole problem I'm getting at. They would in fact receive an even bigger profit if they made more, as the high demand means people want a lot more and aren't getting enough! If they release more, they'll in turn not only help out the fanatics, collectors and casuals alike, as well as helping themselves! It seems almost silly not to make more! Why do they have to make more to meet demand? Some companies' business model is to make a limited supply of things, so that people want them more. Truth is, Nintendo isn't going to start making enough to meet demand unless they start hating money. The demand for many people instantly goes away as soon as these become common. The scalpers are sure-buyers right now. If these were everywhere, they lose the money of the scalpers as well as the money of the people only buying because they are rare.
Sadly, you are correct. It's fair the say the people with this mindset are vastly outnumbered by the people who are only buying BECAUSE they are understocked. Honestly, Nintendo is probably selling more than they would if they were readily available.
