So we were playing around with some friends on turbo mode, and we all felt it wasn't as cool as the videos we watched and we were a little dissapointed... combos were hard to follow up with the knockback and some chars being too small...
Then just out of pure curiousness, we put the following special rules:
- Metal
- Giant
- Bunny Hood
- Turbo Mode

Just try it out and see for yourself xd

Of course it wasn't as cool as in the videos.

It was the same way for the trailer for 3.0 in regards to the new characters.

I assume that all of those things were played perfectly. I would assume using frame by frame technology akin to that used in a TAS.

You can't really replicate the stuff in those trailers without extensive practice and even then you have to hope that the opponent doesn't tech or DI out of the combos that worked so well in the trailers.

I haven't been able to get any of my friends to play turbo mode yet.

Yeah, most of the combos in all the Turbo clips used TAS. A few of them were done without TAS though. Maybe try playing with Slow mode turned on and see if that helps you connect strings, although Slow may glitch some things like the Timer item does.

i've been playing for awhile and getting used to it actually. Most characters do have combo strings that can't be avoided. it just takes a lot of time and practice. i can do 0-death combos with samus pretty good

Which just makes Turbo more exciting. Who knows, maybe we'll start seeing Turbo side tourneys popping up one day.

But did anyone tried putting metal-giant-bunny turbo mode? (forgot to put Giant, edited first post)
My point in this thread was that turbo mode with those things was hella funny and awesome.
Plain Turbo mode is still really fun :D
