I just remembered I had this in my Israeli forum, so I figured you guys deserve to know as well. what with all the translation threads going on.

note this is basically a copy paste from the israeli forum. but if I see there's interest in it, I might expand it.

I'll make a bigger note of this on my thread. I think WAZA means regular attack right?
When I was looking into Kirby's new dash attack it would say Dash WAZA
and J for B attack sometimes?

I'm not surea bout that, but it might be a diffrent term for it. yeah. J is for jump mostly.

Let me fix / clarify a few things for you:

English - Japanese

Fsmash - Yoko Sumashi (Yoko means side)

Usmash - Ue Sumashi (Ue means up)

Dsmash - Sitaa Sumashi (Sita means down, the romaji is actually s - h - i - t - a, but our censor blocks out the first four letters lol)

Grab - Tsukami (Tsukami means grip, with tsukamu meaning to grab)

U,D,F,B throw - Ue, Sita, Mae, Ushiro Nagaren (Nageru is to throw, why you got "Nagaren" I'm not sure)

U,D,N,F+ B - Ue, Sita, Nyu-toraru, Yoko Hissatsu (It would be "nyu-toraru, not niuturaru, and it means "neutral" [just pronounce it], also hissatsu means "certain kill" and is what they use to mean "special")

U,D,N,F,B Air - Kuuchuu Ue, Sita, Niuturaru, Mae, Ushiro (It would be kuuchuu, not kuchuu, and it literally means "in the air")

Wave Dash - Zekkuu (Zekku means to become speechless, heh)

DJC - Zetsu (Don't know)

Jab - Jack Kougeki (jaku means weak and kougeki means attack)

Dash attack - Dashu Kougeki (Just fixed the romaji)

Taunt - Api-ru (Not appear, but "appeal", is what they use to say taunt. You can even read it in the Japanese update about taunts on the Japanese Dojo)

CC - Sharami (don't know, but shagamu is to squat, which would make shagami the noun, so it might have been shagami and not sharami)

DI - Backturu Henkou, Zerashi (Well henkou means alteration (could also be tendency, though different kanji, but applies here as well), but as for backturu (bakkutsuru doesn't mean anything) and zerashi I don't know, you sure you got those right?)

F/B roll - Mae/Ushiro kinkyukai (Japanese dojo refers to it as "kouhou kaihi" for backwards dodge or zenpou kaihi for forward dodge, but the colloquial terminology is probably different. Kinkyuu means urgent, kai might mean "once", so that might be what they say)

Spot Dodge - Sita Kinkyukai (Japanese Dojo refers to it as bakaihi for dodging)

Air Dodge - Kuuchuu Kinkyukai ("In the air urgent occurrence")

Tilt - Tsuyoi kougeki (Tsuyoi means strong, kougeki is attack)

the Nagaren is my bad, it means chainthrow, Nage means throw.

I'm positive about kinkyukai, it means goldendodge or something like that, I've heard it in the eyeshield 21 anime as well.

according to CJ, backtorou henkou is more of Directional influence, and Zerashi is more of DI. I don't know the actual meaning.

I don't care if taunt is appeal or appear, it's still funny it means the same thing anyway, you're Showing yourself on the screening, so you're both appearing and appealing to the viewers.

nice vocabulary, much better than mine that's for sure. and I'm certain that most people will read Kuuchuu wrong whether it's with one U or two just like the japanese prounounce "Ma Hadash?" for MD's name.

and I also know from Eyeshield 21, that Kuuchuu is aerial or in the air, so all of them literally mean the same as in english, Forward Aerial, Back Aerial etc'

Last thing, Hissatsu is "Killing technique" and not "Sure kill technique" as far as i remember...

As far as the kinkyukai, interesting. Kin means gold / golden, though kyuukai doesn't translate into anything sensible. Must be colloquial or a ryaku.

It's more along the lines of a powerful special technique iirc. Usually a term used for a finishing move.
