It's probably nothing new, but the covers are cool. It's out on the 15th. I'll probably get it as it's the day before my birthday. If anyone gets it before I do, I'd be interested to see if they have ANYTHING new in it, screenshots, etc. Even if it is just rehashed Dojo info, EGM does a pretty good job of writing good articles.

i could see some new stuff. afterall its the feb issue and the game is out in feb (and yes i kno the zine comes out mid jan).

the dojo will prob have new stuff by then and itl be rehashes dojo, but in terms as of right now, itl prob be new info

EGM is always known for it's april fools jokes. they were one of the first big gaming outlets to do it. this isnt an april issue.

I mean, I'm not complaining. It's cool to see them fully accepted into the roster like this (as just "Brawl characters", not "those guest characters that are in Brawl"), but they just seem like odd choices.

EGM is a great magazine, yeah, and it's had a whole bunch of great articles I got to read. Their font is nice and small and packed in.

But even still, I'd find it absolutely amazing if we got anything that wasn't a DOJO rehash.

It's an outside possibility that it will have new info. The game comes out very soon after Jan 15 in Japan, and EGM is a pretty big magazine. I doubt it will show anything new, but it's worth keeping an eye out for.

Plus, it was on NGG, not the Brawl boards. The guy gave out the scores for the month and other major things of the issue, and commented that there was no new info. (Also he resents getting the DK cover)

I first read this title as "EGM Smash Bros. Cave Story" and thought "Freakin' sweet."

You guys are forgetting that this isn't 4 months ago, when all they had was a Brawl PREVIEW. Brawl comes out in February here, and only 9 days after the magazine in Japan. They already had a Brawl PREVIEW, this is the Brawl REVIEW, meaning, they've had hands-on time with the game itself, not just a demo and the Dojo.

I am positive that they know all the stuff already. Whether or not they will reveal the full roster, stage lineup, etc. on this issue or save it for future issues is up to them, but they definitely have the game. Otherwise, how can they review it?

Anyways, yes, of course we're going to get new info, unless the Dojo just decides to reveal everything beforehand, a leak happens(soon), or EGM just decides to be a douchebag and not tell us any of the juicy bits. But rest assured, they have this game in their hands as we speak.

You know, first I just saw "Good guys" on there, and immediately thought "Aha, unlike in Melee they won't have all characters side by side but will instead pose the heroes vs. the villains all Marvel style. Cool!"

Nintendo Power already had their Brawl issue, and it wasn't even a Dojo rehash. It was the top 10 things to look forward to in Brawl. Pretty much complimenting themselves. I personally have high hopes considering usually their cover stories are around 12 pages long. They also usually have new info with games like this. They had exclusive info for games like Halo 3 and Street Fighter 4.
