Maybe I should be saying ledge guarding...idk. Anyway, unlike in melee, Marths down tilt doesnt seem to edgeguard. Anyone know moves that can hit the opponent while they are hanging? One of the main reasons I am losing is because I fail to get low % ko's.

You can drop down and up B to recover, if you get it right, it'll send them spiking straight down after hitting the wall, also, try the whole jump out, fair, hang, jump, fair, Up b to recover thing, over and over, if you can get that down, it'll totally destroy lots of characters

I understand that. I mean when they are hanging, there are no moves marth has that can hit them, I think.

whatever you do, don 't try to spike them with dair unless you're very confident.

Screwing it up will cost you a life, as I'm sure you're already aware.

I dair in the right situation because i RAR it first, that way if i dont hit with the tip they still move away from the stage, leaving me and opportunity to get back on

i use dtilt to edgeguard against ike trying to sweetspot the edge with quick draw. i'm pretty sure i've used it against other characters too, it's just a tough timing with the auto grab on the edge.

for edgeguarding, i just jump out and fair a lot, or ledgehop bair/dair, and up-b owns people if you hit hem off the side of the stage like someone mentioned.

well the reason why u prob cant hit them is they probably still have there frames of invincibility when they grab the edge but my advice for trying to get easy kills is to go out of the stage and gimp him with a fair if u tipper it there is good chance he is not going to come back from that even when he is at low percents

IMHO, in normal matches, you should never be afraid to use this. get the practice on it when nothing is at stake so that when there is a tourny and money is at stake, you CAN perform it, and be confidant doing so.

To answer the OP, i've had some luck starting a little far back out of d tilt range, and using it more than once to creep forward and throw ppl off a little. Everyone else has it right though, work your fiar and bair before they get the chance to get to the ledge.

f smash hits them on the tip as far as I know. Tested it the other day when someone was hanging off of Final Destination, but he had been there for about 2 seconds before I attempted the smash.
