edge teching

ok i usually play against my roommate who does nothing but marth and when i get off the stage, its fsmashs and shield breakers for me. Im getting better at teching them and recovering, however, i noticed 2 types of techs, 1 where falcon absords the blow and begins to fall again and 1 where it appears he wall jumps.

how do i do that? and whats the difference, someone please clarify.

Oh well those both have easy eplonations.

1) When marth hits u with his FSmash u DI twords the stage thus boncing off of it by pressing L orR just before u hit the stage's edge. This opperation is called "teching".

2) To do this with a jump press up right before u "tech" off the stage. To practice doing this have someone throw u into a wall and prform the steps above.

its the same as teching but youre just holding in the direction u want to wall jump

Yeah, just hold up on the control stick at the same time as you press L/R to do a walljump-tech.

Its the same as teching exept you have I think 20 Frames to ground tech
and only 5 to wall tech
I think thats the frame rate
not sure
so yeah just hold the derection and press L or R
