Edge Eggs Help

So guys, when's a good time to start spamming edge eggs?

Specific or general examples and advice is appreciated.

If you're consistent with it, any time you can't be immediately punished for it is a good time lol
watch out for falco dair, sheik needles, etc.
go crazy on big/slow characters
use it to cover your way back on the stage
if you're really fancy RECE long recoveries like samus and peach

I just use ece's when im knocked onto the edge and im trying to avoid an edge guard scenario

I usually tend to close in on Yoshi when he gets to the ledge like that, because spacing away from the ledge gives Yoshi an opportunity to do edge eggs and get free damage—and pretty much get a free recovery back onto the stage without being punished. Yoshi is really vulnerable to ledge pressure, because he can easily be gimped—no third jump. Some people do space against Yoshi on the ledge some odd reason, so punish them for it with edge eggs.

some people know that yoshi is vulnerable while doing it and they will come up and jab you when you are doing it.

ya, be mindful of what your opponent doesn't, a lot of the long lasting moves can eat the egg and tap yoshi, Falcons knee gannon's fair, ect. But if your opponent doesn't challenge eggs use a lot them they do 8% stalled.

Please note that even if you do it frame perfect, yoshi will be vulnerable in the latter part of the animation.

That means its hard to shine spike yoshi, but with any move that stays out for a bit yoshi is basically dead
