For the first one, Falcon's grab hitbox includes his arm, and extends to almost the back of his body. Since he was right next to Bowser but turned away, the hitbox touched Bowser.

Second one was the hitboxes canceling each other out. Someone made a topic on this a while back; people still don't know how it works IIRC.

yeah isn't it caused by the momentum of the first knee still carrying the bowser to the left then the other knee hits him and the momentum sends him the other way but momentum doesn't get cancelled in the game so they even out.

There was a thread a while ago about it, someone might be able to dig it up.

If I remember correctly, it goes like this.

In most cases, if someone has been hit, and is then hit by another move, the momentum of the first move is cancelled, and is replaced entirely with the second move's momentum.

However, if the second move comes within a short period of the first one (I can't remember if it was mentioned what that time period is), then the overall momentum is affected by both the first and second move.

Something like that anyway.

This, I think the dependant factor was whether you are still in hitstun or not

jesus, way to confuse everybody by using terminology incorrectly.

It's the knockback that gets cancelled out

and it's not 1:35 it's more like 1:32, didnt know wtf you were talking about at first and had to load the first part of the video again
