Easy ledge canceling method on Battlefield
Get close to either side of a platform, jump and simultaneously hold the direction all the way until you reach the other side of the platform. Also works on DL64's top platform.

Nice job. Edge cancels aren't too hard with some practice, but this is a good way to start.

A couple more easy ones are that the spawn platforms on Fountain of Dreams and Dreamland both allows you to edge cancel if you hold to the side immediately to drop down.

btw in M2K and PPMD's Marth ditto at MLG 2014 on Yoshi's Story there's a moment where M2K maneuvers himself to edge cancel on the left platform. Too lazy to go pinpoint it but I remember seeing it there.
