Does anyone besides me feel that it's a lot easier for you to l-cancel, shffl, tech, and wavedash when you're actually playing someone and not just practicing? It's weird...

It's the adrenaline rush. When ur training there's no excitement but when you're actually playin someone u have a drive to be better.

Lol I dunno. I don't think I ever really felt that way xD. Can't remember though since all the advanced techs pretty much come naturally now. Maybe tho :S

Yes i've noticed this.

When I go to tournaments and smashfest, at the beginning I freeze and play like crap. But when I get warmed up, I acually play better than I do practicing or playing with friends.

i actually feel the same way. For example i have trouble short hopping w/ many characters (especially fox) when i'm practicing, probably because i'm thinking to hard about it. However, when I fight someone, short hopping + SHFFLing comes much more naturally ^_^
