Might as well continue the tradition I got going.

:4tlink:Countdown Link :4link:

Despite there being no new Smash stuff there's still a lot to come with this E3 with Nintendo's new console, currently codenamed NX. There's also rumors of it getting a port of Smash WiiU but I'd doubt any more stuff will be added beyond graphic tweaks.

But what do you think?

...I wanted to create the thread myself this year. Sneaky you!

I really want the 'Luigi's Mansion 3 is a launch title for Nintendo NX' and 'NX is more powerful than PS4' rumors to be actual facts. Beyond Good and Evil 2 being an exclusive as well.

I believe we're gonna see the NX revealed prior to E3.

I'm still looking forward to E3 more because I imagine that's where we'll be deluged by game reveals.

Looking forward to E3, as well, despite how disappointing it was last year.

I'm personally hoping for Luigi's Mansion 3, new Donkey Kong Country and new 3D Mario for NX. Also Kirby NX and console Pokemon, but those are most likely too :083: (former because there's another Kirby game in development, latter should be obvious). Not really interested on ports.

Here we go! This thread is exactly what I need right now - some harmless speculation!

In terms of reveals, I'd love a new Mario 3D game, a new DKC game and (long shot) a Metroid FPS.

Information regarding NX is obviously high on my list, as well as Zelda U and Sun and Moon trailers.

I cant wait for this years event. Last year was so underwhelming which is fair enough in a transitional phase, but all eyes are on Ninty atm and they need to deliver.

Oh and as an after thought, an actual mobile game being shown off would be cool too (pray for Ice Climbers)

Not all that excited TBH. The primary reason why I was so excited for E3 last year was because of Smash and without it there's nothing for me to be excited for.

Obviously, im filled with NX hype! Really excited and kinda worried to officially hear what it is. lol For now im just eating up these "leaks and rumours" heh. So i guess im excited to see if those rumors are real as well. Like whether Smash for NX will be a thing, and the other alleged remakes in the works. alleged.

And I haven't even thought about what the NX's original launch titles will be. whether it'll be Zelda wiiu or a Mario game, i hope im not disappointed with some dumb "New Super Mario bros" for a launch title again -_-" Pikmin 4 was a thing so that's likely.

The only other promise awaiting us for e3 is Zelda Wiiu. So that's something else to look forward to. Im certainly curious about what they added that delayed the game a whole year! lol...

Of course this can't start without all the million of NX rumors beforehand ( Wouldn't be surprised if one says it can work as a toaster ).
One thing that i'd really like to see announced is a new Wario game, maybe one that combines elements from both Ware and Land. Kinda like how Wario Land 4 had those mini games but obviously far more expansive.

I don't think I've ever been so excited for an E3 in my life, and I've been following every year since the early 2000s.

Hopefully Nintendo's plans will become clear in the coming weeks leading up to E3. I think a pre-E3 reveal of the NX is wise, but not 100% necessary as long as they do a lengthy stage show presentation.

Regardless, a Direct in the next few weeks is necessary to cover and date the last remaining Wii U games, as well as address plans for My Nintendo and Miitomo. E3 needs to be 90% about the NX.

I'm stolked but super cautious last E3 was well bad. Save for the pre-Smash stuff with Ryu, Roy, and Lucas that was great oh and the Nintendo Worlf Championship This year it needs to be good from top to bottom. The NX some new 3DS news hopefully Mother 3 localized. I look forward to it.

E3 2015 Nintendo made a grave mistake by only focusing on games coming in the near future from that time. I guess it was a necessity at the time, but it's a shame they didn't have even one big, new "AAA blockbuster" secret up their sleeve that they could show. Presumably, all of their unannounced AAA titles had been moved to NX long before that, which they were waiting til 2016 to show. It all makes sense why they had a softcore E3 presentation, but it wasn't pretty at the time. This year is redemption time.

Luckily for Nintendo, Microsoft's conference was almost as light, with a fraction of the charm. It had the opposite problem. Nintendo focused too much on short term, Microsoft put all their eggs in the long term basket. Did they show anything new that people are playing yet? Gears 4 and Recore aren't out yet, and the rest of their conference was utterly boring

As a PlayStation owner, Sony's conference made E3 2015 week totally worthwhile. A, if not A+, conference. The hype from that presentation has crossed my mind everyday since. Bethesda had a great conference as well, and it was an overall above average week last year.

That was last year. Nintendo will have a new console that they cannot afford to repeat mistakes with, it's deliver or die for Microsoft, and Sony isn't going to let their dominating hype train be stolen without a fight.

This year will make history. No matter what console(s) you own, expect a good presentation from your company(ies).

Nintendo needs to explain what the NX can do with a full blowout of information, then showcase the games. That'll definetly attract some people to NX to eventually snag it. I hope they can pull through the ball's in their court let's just hope they can roll with it.

Well Sony's got something called the Playstation 4 NEO in the pipeline which can only be brilliant or a disaster.

What would you say is the worst E3 showing of the big 3 (4 if we go back far enough to include SEGA)?

For me, it's the showing of Wii Music as if people had never seen motion controls in 2008. Followed by the XBONE's showing in 2013.

Hopefully Nintendo will finally reveal some details about the NX, since all the rumors around the internet make any general idea of the NX quite confusing! It would be nice if the Smash for NX rumors are true, since having Super Smash Bros. as a launch title would help give the NX a strong launch lineup (which could make or break the console's sales).

Worst E3 for me was Nintendo's last year I mean we get it Wii U's on it's way out but at least give the Wii U some good news. Least the pre-Smash E3 stuff was good that made my weekend and having Lucas, Ryu, and Roy ready the same day was genius so that was my favourite part of E3 last year the Smash Presentation. But it's also my least favourite E3 from Nintendo cause we could have gotten some Wii U announcements oh well least Star Fox Zero Smash and Earthbound Begginings made it good as it good.

But this year can be good for Nintendo the unveil of the NX and what it brings to the table and some good games ready to be launched like Smash NX, Super Mario 3D whatever it's called, Luigi's Mansion 3, The new Legend of Zelda that'll make a good E3 for Nintendo But we'll see I hope they can deliver but it's up to them. Start your console of right Nintendo only you can.

As for Sony and Microsoft they'll deliever amid rumors of Playstation 4 Neo and Xbox One Slim. They pull through they usually do. But if all of the Big 3 have a good showing this year it'll be one heck of an E3 we'll all remember.

You should watch Nintendo's E3 2008 Presentation and you'll find the 2015 one to be the best thing since sliced bread.

I agree that Nintendo in 2008 was probably the worst big 3 conference overall in the past 8 years, but Microsoft, on average, has the worst conferences of the big 3 in most years.

I prefer long conferences, but quality is still more important than quantity, and M$ is really bad about filler, bad jokes, and focusing on hypothetical tech that barely matters. Henry Ford III resulted in an absolute facepalm from me last year.

Like I said, I think 2016 will be a great E3 for all three though.

I'm actually a bit disgruntled by this Super PS4 they're apparently working on. I just bought a PS4 last Christmas. Unless there's some kind of free upgrade program (lol probably not) I doubt I'll buy it.

Sony's 2006 conference was pretty hilariously terrible.

Historically speaking, Sony doing the equivalent of slapping the metaphorical ice cream cone out of SEGA's hand in the first ever 1995 E3 was pretty significant.

I hold to the fact that if Nintendo's 2014 E3 hadn't been so good, people wouldn't have been as disappointed with 2015's.

This year should be interesting. Nintendo's already announced the minor stuff during the last ND, so expect a few of those titles to show up.

Really, the main attraction will be the NX + Zelda. If they're not careful, they'll alienate the Wii U owners, so they have to ensure that there's going to be support for it as well.

At this point there's not a whole lot they can say to Wii U owners without it being obvious, transparent PR nonsense.

I'm really curious to know if they're going to pull the whole "third pillar" thing again like they did back in '05 with the original DS.

As RIP as the Gameboy turned out to be, it was a good tool for letting GBA users slowly move over to the DS.

An abrupt change will be less effective than a slow gradual one.

It's why the third pillar system is ultimately best.

Not to mention there's something to fall back on if said pillar collapses, i.e. the Virtual Boy.

Normally I'm not one to sing doom and gloom but after today's announcement this E3 is shaping up to be even worse then last year's. NX is confirmed to not be there.

Like... What are they going to talk about? Games that'll of been out in Japan for months like Kirby and TMS? Sticker Star 2? Federation Force? Zelda U obviously but that's the one thing we can look forwards to and it should of been out like a year ago.

Only other thing I can think of is hollow promises for the NX like what the Wii U got with Starfox and Zelda's bogus release windows.

Holy **** I didn't even notice it was almost may. A new metroid game would make me cream (Inb4 federation force, stfu) pikmin maybe, Sony looking at the vita would be tight (I've got jrpgs for daiz). Iwatas rising from the grave would also be awesome.

Zelda is pikmin 3 all over again.

No NX and Zelda (Wii U) being the only Nintendo game playable on the show floor isn't so much of a big deal and doesn't mean jack yet. They might just announce a third Digital Event to complete the Triforce and unveil some more 3DS/Wii U games. The only thing left to find out if they actually follow that path, is whether they make it as legendary as the 2014 one or as mediocre as the 2015 one.

Right now i'm only intrigued with what 3DS games are revealed because the Wii U is pretty much done with it's major released sans Zelda Wii U and Paper Mario. I'm hoping for certain releases for the 3DS to come true.

Speaking of big 3DS releases I wonder if we'll get anything Pokemon related. Though with how Game Freak is currently advertising the only trailer we'd get is one that we have to construct from single frames hidden in Japanese Pokemon Variety Shows over the course the year.

For a more typical Nintendo fan, concrete details on the new Zelda and Pokemon games would pretty much be all they'd want. I could see them going that route...

So basically we're looking at:
Zelda U
Pokemon
TMS (Unless it releases before E3?)
Kirby Robobot (?)
Federation Force
Some bit on amiibo, naturally
And... Paper Mario Color Splash.

Well, and possibly some new Nintendo games, an update for Mario Maker, an indie corner, and most likely a big "tune in on d/m/y for news on the NX."

Nintendo better have some kind of serious Ace up their sleeve.
This kind of stuff projects weakness and internal turmoil from the company.

I think I'm actually looking forward to it more now.

Pokemon Sun and Moon news, Zelda Wii U, maybe some DLC announcents for Pokken Tournament, and Star Fox Zero. So it may not be the best but hopefully these are some things they have planned for E3.

Theirs a lot of confusion in regards to Nintendo's E3 Presentation. Some people are saying that LoZ is the only game that's going to be shown off because it's the only game that's going to be playable at E3.

I personally don't believe it because they could show off some of their pre-announced games even if their not playable at the event and have announcements/trailers of new games as well. Just because LoZ is the focus of the event doesn't mean it's the only game being shown off.

They just announced Callie and Marie amiibos. I wonder if Nintendo will have another big line of amiibo ready to show off at E3 as the Smash line has just about ended.
