It's June, so E3's here! One of the best weeks in the year for straight up gaming news. Hopefully this thread provides all the answers you need on what's the schedule like for 2015. This year's packed with 8 conferences this time around. Lots of leaks and rumors happening about which should make things interesting on what's true or what more developers have in planned. Like usual, the beginning days are the conference days, while the 16th-18th will be available more for the public(-ish) to check stuff out more.

All E3 discussion should go in this thread. New threads specifically about a new title should go here in Light House or Nintenzone (wherever the title is relevant). Now let's try to get some activity this year, even more than last year's.

Bethesda

Where else can I watch these streams?

Hopefully I got all that right. Let me know if I got any links or info wrong. Next year if I get the chance to do another E3 thread, I might spice it up with some images if I have the time.

Happy E3 discussion everyone.

Yeah. While I don't expect to see lots of companies integrating this into gameplay, it's pretty cool from a technological standpoint.

Like usual, the MS conferences aren't for me. Some cool indie titles, nice seeing Rare doing something, and Hololens was pretty neat to see. Not much else that caught my eye.

The only part of the Microsoft conference to catch my attention was Tomb Raider since I played the first one and enjoyed it..but that's not even going to be an Xbox One exclusive forever, so they didn't really have all that much for me.

The question is which first Tomb Raider....

Also, South Park: Fractured But Hole is the best name. It's also one of the few things this E3 to make me excited.

They knocked it out of the park. The only really really bad part is that so many of the games shown aren't going to available for quite some time. :(

Sony showed off some good stuff, yeah, what bugs me is that there were only two or three true exclusives. Sony's conference can be summarized as "ONLY ON PLAYSTATION. AND PC. OR ON PLAYSTATION FOR A FEW MONTHS. OR ON KICKSTARTER. WE NEED TO RESTART THE DEMO."

Games are multiplat now, which is a good thing, imo. Besides, I'm pretty sure there were over 10 exclusives shown. The kickstarter thing, I can't hate on at all, and I think it's very smart. I'm very happy at the result too since there are so many passionate Shenmue fans that are keeping their promises. Demo part was unfortunate. It was a funny slip up, but it happens to every company.

It happens just about every year to Sony, and it's pretty chucklewor-HULK SMASH.

Also, on the multiplat thing, I can't really agree. I didn't like Microsoft's too much (Except for Cuphead and that rad Hololens VR) but at least they showed some exclusives to their console, even if they had a decent amount of exclusive+PC titles themselves. To sell someone on your console you need exclusives that you can only find on there, and I watch E3 to see what is shown and that will influence my purchases. But at this rate, all I really have to do is build a decent PC and maybe have a Nintendo system.

Looking back at it, the "advertise the Kickstarter for that game everyone wants" idea was quite clever indeed. The Kickstarter is filling up real quick, and might even set some records.

Well, I've played both. But I was referring to the reboot in this context.

Unravel looks like it's filled with so much heart and care, I absolutely love it. One of my favorite titles from this E3 that I'm looking forward to. The main character looks absolutely adorable too.

E3 viewers also found the awkward guy that presented Unravel to be adorable too lol

It certainly looked interesting.

So, was I the only one who was underwhelmed by Nintendo's E3? oh well, Squeenix time.
It felt really underwhelming for me. Star Fox was nice and apparently Platinum Games is helping on it.

But no surprise Wii U announcements though unlike last year. I'm a bit disappointed.

All my friends who are into Metroid are pretty disappointed over the new game, myself included. I'm sure Animal Crossing fans aren't too excited over what they made for the Wii U.

Fire Emblem x SMT is still neither, and aside from English voice acting and the official western title we have no new info on Fire Emblem Fates.

I feel like they focused too much on trying to promote Mario Maker, which is much more niche than Nintendo would like I think.

Same. StarFox Zero and the new Paper Mario/Mario and Luigi was just about it for me with Nintendo. Mario Maker's neat but it was most of the conference.

The biggest high light of Squeenix was KH3 and SO5. I was hoping for some more FFXV and FFVII details, but I guess that will have to wait.

The seamless transitions looked really great in SO5. And six character teams?

Nintendo was a bit underwhelming, though I am hyped up for Star Fox and Super Mario: Bullet Hell Edition.

Square... Yay for Kingdom Hearts, but letting Sony announce their big game took a bit away from them.

Anyone else notice that Reggie called the NX a mobile device? Or was I still half asleep at the time? If so, then I'm thinking it might be a 3DS successor.

Also, shame that Fatal Frame V was a no show.

Yeah, as a secret employee of Nintendo, we-buy Amiibo- could not find room in-between-buy Amiibo- all of our Amiib-buy Amiibo-o talk to find room to advertise Fatal Fr-buy Amiibo-ame V.

Joking aside, you make a good point. I don't really think Fatal Frame fits into their Amiibo-concentric marketing.

The Nintendo conference did seem a little bit lacking. I really liked how Triforce Heores looks and being able to play Hyrule Warriors on the go is going to be awesome too. Besides that, the Mario/Paper Mario RPG was really the only other thing to catch my attention. The spinoff titles for Animal Crossing and Metroid were kind of..meh..

I feel like Nintendo could've set themselves up better by holding back some of the 'small' stuff from last E3 (like the Star Fox 'reveal,' because it didn't amount to much of anything except 'yep it's being made) or swapping the Smash Direct into the Digital Event proper.

Ryu, Roy, and Hyrule Warriors 3DS leaking probably didn't help things, either.

I am pretty intrigued by Square's new JRPG-focused studio. It looks like they're testing the waters for the viability of classic JPRGs on consoles. Hopefully it will work out, especially with how well Bravely Default sold.

Good: FF7 remake, KH3 footage, Mass Effect Andromeda, Shenmue 3 and The Last Guardian finally escaping development hell (well TLG at least), Microsoft's press conference to most people. new xenoblade game, New smash bros DLC, And of course, Fallout 4! :)

Meh: New starfox game, new Zelda game (not the one being made for Wii U) Mario Maker, Mario party featuring Animal Crossing characters game on Wii U.

Unforgivably bad: Metroid Prime Force Federation. What the...**** Nintendo? We've been begging you for years for a new proper Metroid game after the abomination that was Other M and this...this is how you repay our patience? Now granted, Retro Studios (I think that's the name of the company) is supposedly making a Metroid game of their own on Wii U. Why didn't Nintendo show that instead!? You would expect any other game company to make a game that's completely unrelated to X i.e that "banjo Kazooie" game that came out on Xbox 360 several years ago, not Nintendo!
