To start off i would like to give some information about this war.
This war with Iraq has been going on for 5 years now. (It started in March 20, 2003)
During the beginning of the war, america said that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction at their hands.
Americans said that the government was corrupt in Iraq, and so the troops captured Saddam Hussian in december of 2003 and held his execution in december 2006.

I say that the U.S. troops should be pulled out of Iraq because this war was over a purpose that wasn't even 100% true. Many people say this war was over 9/11 but Iraq wans't even involved in that. The Al-Queda was behind this and they are mostly from Afghanistan, and Saudi Arabia. The war in Iraq makes no sense and shouldn't even been started. This shows what a corrupt government we have.

also good luck to you john:)

also good luck to you john:)
Thank you.

Despite the motives for entering Iraq being questionable, it seems logical that we remain in Iraq to resolve the situation, it is that the insurgency in Iraq cannot be handled by the ISF(Iraqi Security Forces) currently.
Currently, we have not made enough progress with the ISF to pull out of Iraq, and pinning a date on the calender for when to pull out of Iraq seems absurd(if I were an insurgent, that would be the date to stick a fresh clip of ammo into my AK-47).

Yes, ^^ but if we keep them there we will be losing more soldiers and this war dosen't neccasarily need to be continued for a purpose that may not even be true.
I do agree that we haven't made much progress with the ISF, but we can still pull out if we really need to.

John?

I cannot deny that more soldiers will die if we stay in Iraq, but it would be betrayal to abandon the ISF to fend for themselves against the insurgency that our much larger, better trained force is having so much trouble with.
Currently, the need to stay will outweigh the will to leave.

Yes; but it isnt our responsibility to fend for them. We can help out like my school did with Zimbabwe; but if we don't want to help out anymore then we shouldn't have to. The ISF will have to go on without us. And if you were a parent or guardian, would you send your child out to war where they will most likely die just because of the government's mistake?

We have made it our problem in Iraq, and they are relying on our support currently. And actually, the Iraq war, has had lower casualties compared to the Vietnam war, the Korean war and various conflicts, although there has been a higher rate of soldiers wounded in action.
The fear of a parent is having to send a child off into war, knowing they may die. But it is an inevitable truth that soldiers must often lay down their lives in the line of duty.

Yes , but even though we have got involved, we can still pull out. WE should pull out because more have been wounded when this war has less casualties then most of our previous wars.
And again we should send out when it is america's problem, but when the government screws up we shouldn't have to "clean up their messwith our own citizens health and lives.

also sry i didn't post sooner
i was busy with sig wars and i had no free time
all day animation uhhh

I was very disappointed with this debate. Obviously John got booted, but both never used sources, and it seemed like you guys were just arguing back and forth, and not actually debating.

Both of you will not be advancing to the next round, and instead, will take someone from the previous 2 debates to move on.
