Drivers' test was an epic failure

Stop having a boring tuna...stop having a boring l
OK, I'll be 16 Nov. 9th and in Neb. you can take the test 60 days before you're 16, so I took it for the first time today and it was a complete disaster. I seemed to be doing really well driving w/ my parents, even in dark, rain, fog, etc. (I drive to school at like 6:30) But when I took the test I did really bad. It started with a very controversial incomplete stop turning right at a red. I'm pretty sure at one point my car was at zero. Then came the emergency stop, which I had no idea about, didn't do 90% of the stuff and went on the curb (instant fail). So then we didn't go the full course and headed back to the DMV. I also got deducted for not occasionally checking mirrors, looking both ways while approaching a railroad track, etc. My mom was talking to someone whose daughter took the test 8 times before she passed. Also, if you pay $300 to take drivers' ed it's basically like paying to pass the test while you just jack off in class and hardly practice any driving. (Omaha is full of stupid rich people like that), so I'm kind of PO'ed at that.

So how did you guys do with driving tests and all DMV-related stupidity?

Well, I must say: Don't give Up!

The written part was no sweat, seriously, it took me about 3 tries (who knew) before I was able to pass the driving portion of the test, mainly having to do with turns, but I'm glad I have that down.

I had to take my written test three times because in NV you are required to take a 50 multiple-question test and you have to at least get 40 of them right to pass. The first two times I got 39 out of 50... That is morally depressing.

I have some odd stories...

Several years ago, I got a 48 the first time I took the written test in class, although I'm convinced that I made some sort of huge error in filling in the circles (Skipping one circle resulting in every other answer shifting over). Because to be honest, I studied quite hard for the test and during the course of the class, our teacher gave us many smaller tests, all of which I aced. The teacher let me retake it and didn't count the grade against me since he didn't really think I actually didn't know my ****. Got a 90+ on the retake.

The actual driving test went well, and I passed the first time. Although I was so nervous during the parallel parking section that I was starting like 6 feet away from the curb trying to inch my way in. My instructor told me to approach it again and I passed that part easily (6 inches away from curb) once I got my nerves together.

Although once I was back in the building, I was sitting next to some chick who was talking to her friend about how she failed 3 times and the instructor person felt bad for her and just passed her...

Be glad you get to get your license at such a young age. I'm 18 and I've been driving for about a year. I'm not allowed to even take the driving test until after Christmas.

I took drivers ed, didn't have to do an actual driving test. It was a boring three weeks, but at least I can drive and run them over now

The written portion of the test was very easy for me. I missed 1 question.

As for the driving, I passed my first try with a 90 something. Didn't break soon enough at one point and I think that was the only thing they deducted points for. I currently drive a stick-shift and I love it :). I can't stand driving automatic cars. So boring :/.

come on sucker lick my battery
i ***** my driving test. i only missed two points out of 60, and that was for some random reason.

i had a friend come to a red light. stop, look both directions then go through because no one was there. he was the example on how to not take the test. he also went onto the wrong side of the road. all of his stops were rolling stops, didn't check mirrors and so on. he failed as hard core as it can get.

It took me 3 tries to pass my written test for my permit. I'm really bad with memorizing numbers, and the Oregonian tests are all about numbers. "How many feet away from a stop sign should you start breaking? 30, 20, 15?"

Drivers test I did good. I made the DMV lady in the front seat swear due to the fact that I forgot to check my blindspot once, but other than that, I did great. :)

I paid the $300 ($250, actually, 'round these parts) to just jack off during class. It consisted of driving in circles at 5 MPH, using a "simulator" (driving along with a movie, basically), and then 6 hours of actual on the road driving, which my instructor used to get us to drive him around while doing errands.

I'm a pretty good driver now though. Never had a ticket, and the only accident I've ever been in was a minor fender-bender that was the other driver's fault.

I didn't take- the test until I was 18 because I didn't really need a car before then.

Wasn't really anything memorable about taking the test except for the heavy rains.

On another note, I've been in like 8 accidents, none of which were my fault.
Only one required any repairs to my car, and that was just putting the license plate back on.
Fiberglass cars are much too fragile.

Rustbucket buick ftw.

That sucks man. Better luck next time. :)

I owned my driving test. The only mistake my made was not looking comepletley when doing a U-turn, but I was sure I checked my mirror.
