Drama Kids Unite

So, this is my first attempt at making a serious thread, and it is for all the theater/drama/techie nerds out there.

Want I want to accomplish is conversation between the drama kids.

So lets talk about the plays we are currently in, the plays we want to be in, and are dream roles.

So to start the conversation off, i will talk about my absolute dream role as an actor.

I would love to be Javert (Les Mis)
or Nikkie (Avenue Q)

for plays i would LOVE to play Elwood P Dowd (Harvey)
Or anybody from Angles of America

Angels in America would rock to be in.

My most recent play is 110 in the Shade, where I played the town's favorite drunk named Toby.

This summer, I'm working professional tech for Annie, Footloose, and Aida. Last summer I worked Les Mis, Sound of Music, and Big River. Other plays that I've been in are Sweeney Todd, Something Funny Happened on the Way to the Forum, The Real Inspector Hound, HONK!, Li'l Abner, and tons of other smaller one acts and whatnot.

As for dream roles, I don't have too many. I don't fit the bill with any of my favorite characters.

I'm a big "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat" fan. Ever done a production of that? It seems like a pretty easy one to put on.

Joseph is like, the stereotypical corny annoying musical that everyone loathes. At least, around these parts. There was one year that it was done by three different theater companies at once. Since then, it's been blacklisted by every theater person here. xD

I'd like to be in a theater play. It seems awesome to me, but I have no idea where to start, nor do I think I have the time to practice and stuff because it seems to me this is a 'give it your whole or nothing' thing.

Maybe in the future though. =D

We did one called Babes in Toyland, and I was this cool dude with a hat. He was the bad guy I think.
