I may have never been heard of before, but i think it's possible we just might see Roy battle Lucario, ect. My reason why?
Guitar Hero 4 is coming out soon. It will feature drums, bass, singing, dc for all systems, including Wii. That may be a sign of good fortune. If GH4 can have DC, then why can't SSBB? I know what Sakurai said, but he also said there's a chance he'll need to update the Dojo. Look, believe me or not, i just want to speculate on the subject a bit, ya know? oh, and while I'm at it, I'm not a smash noob, just not alot of posts, thats all

They didn't even program dlc into the game. Plus adding new characters would require modifying the code on the disc which isn't possible.

If the disc doesn't have the capability to read from the hard drive, it doesn't matter how 'complex' the data is.

The possibility is still here. Just becasue Sakurai said HE'S done does not mean that NINTENDO is done. Is it so hard to believe that Nintendo will just HIRE Sakurai again??

My understanding is that nobody ever said that we could not get DLC, I would say our free stage and replay are technically DLC, so it is clear that the wii is capable of handling it; The conclusion was that Brawl would not be getting DLC.
