Download for Microsoft Paint (Vista Version)

So, I just installed Windows 7 recently, and I liked a lot of the set-up (although it does give me a bit of a headache). Anyways, I love the new aesthetics.

The only problem I have with it is its Microsoft Paint. It's the bane of my life. I can't pixel-by-pixel draw efficiently anymore, and transparencies don't work correctly (which is very important when making sprites!). Not to mention using the straight line tool (auto-select, really?) and just plain sprite-making (all I ever do on paint) is just harder. The only reason I won't use GIMP for this is because of its inability to make straight lines (that I know of).

So, does anyone here know how to make straight lines in GIMP (like in Vista's Paint) or of a Windows7-compatible download for Paint that works in almost exactly the same way? I know there's Paint.net, but is that the right thing to install?

tl;dr: I need a version of Microsoft Paint similar to Vista's, but installed on Windows7 (and not the anti-sprite version that's currently installed).

Help would be appreciated. Thanks. :)

I don't know. Would it? :ohwell:
Hm, let's see. Let's VM to continue the conversation.

I'm just a little hesitant (about viruses, veeruses) stuff like that.

Visitor messaging. Just messaging people on their walls.

Edit:
Yeah, problem still not solved. Looked tons of places, but couldn't find Vista. :(
I'll try Paint.net.

Paint.NET is amazing I definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a good paint program but doesn't want to pay for Photoshop...

The problem is, the lines drawn with it are blurry, and the line tool is still a problem.

Edit:
I'll just get over it. Of course, nothing will ever be as good as Paint (free, anyways) on Windows for spriting, so I'd better get used to Windows 7's Paint.
Thanks for your efforts, guys (especially GrimTuesday's).

Oh well, I tried.
So, it has an auto-blur to make images look better... wow that sucks.
