During a down tilt with pika, hold opposite of the direction you're facing.

When it first finishes, you'll notice pika start to walk but the first part of it doesn't really show him taking actual steps.

Kinda just looks like he's doin a quick slide

if you follow up that slide with an attack, it looks like there was a wavedash done b4 the attack.

You can use the momentum from holding the direction during the down tilt to follow up with another attack.

If you see pika walking you held it too long

If you do an attack afterwards and you don't see pika slide, you didn't hold the direction long enough.

Correct me if Im wrong, but it seems like the backward movement depends on how you push the analog stick backwards. For instance, if I held it and then let go, he only slid for a little while as if he were taking a step. But if I tapped it and let go as if it were a dash, he would slide pretty far (I'm guessing this is the one everyone's talking about).

It's actually kind of fun to do this back and forth along the ground. As far as application, the only problem I see is that it leaves pikachu kind of vulnerable since his dtilt doesnt reach in back of him.

P.S. I tried this with didi who can crawl and turn around after his down a, and it did not work for him.

Personally I'd call it the Electric Slide... just to use the joke.

Anyway, good find.
