Apparently this HAS happened in the past. I was diddy and steven was falco and i was up a stock. i went out to spike him and i did so in my mind i was saying "yes!" but then i realized i was gone too. we killed ourselves for the replay and turns out that we both spiked each other at the exact same time. which is near impossible as it is so fast that it probably had to be in the same frame, and to spike you mostly have to be on top of someone. so we can't both be on top of each other at the same time. in spite of this, it happened. and i will update this when i get it on youtube. he's working on it.

It's happened to me as well, diddy can spike people from slightly above him, so while falco was over you he hit you from above, you hit him from below but just slightly below.
