Double Shine vs Shine Upsmash

I don't know how often this situation has arisen with anyone else, but I have found that when I shine up smash someone who is trying to double shine me (from a neutral position) that shine up smash usually wins. The first shines both clank and the second shine and the beginning of the up smash clank, but the latter half of the up smash will hit them. It is a weak hit to be sure, but it does get them off of you and does some of that ever important damage. I believe that if you try to shine aerial a double shine the multishine will beat it out, so give this a try! Also I am unsure whether or not a triple shine would beat the shine usmash...maybe all 3 hits would clank which would be strange and funny to see, but your guess is as good as mine for that one.

if the other spacy is good the second shine should come out faster than the usmash. fox's usmash comes out on the 7th frame, shine is frame 1

I kinda agree with this. Double shine SHOULD beat out most opposing moves at close range. I mean, that's kinda what it's for.

Can someone else verify this?

i literally gave you the frame data. its fact that shine is out on frame ONE and usmash comes out on frame SEVEN. if the spacy is GOOD the shine usmash shouldn't beat double shine, shine is a much faster hitbox compared to usmash

Man, relax. I was agreeing with you. No need to get all nitpicky.

Reason why I said, "verify," was not because I didn't believe you, rather I wanted other people who actually experienced this in a match reply.

You are quite right, but fox does have invincibility on his head from frames 1-10 on the usmash so perhaps if the other person is too close to you it negates it. I don't know the specifics of why it works: only that it does. You don't have to take my word for it...try it out and see for yourself. You may be surprised.

Actually, the usmash can cancel the jumpsquat while the shine has to wait until the end of jumpsquat. Still, the shine should be faster and invincibility on the head wont change that fact. Your friend is probably a little slow when multishining due to being thrown off by the clank.
