Double Fair ROCKS

OMG after adding the double fair to my game it totally has improoved my approach game.


My question is when I do a double fair i throw my first fair out with the Z button then my secound by spamming my A buton like a mad man. The works wonders, but when ever i try to double fair with only A (both fairs with A) it doesnt work. is there a rule that you HAVE TO THROW OUT EACH FAIR WITH A DIFFERENT BUTTON?

No you can use Z,C-stick or A or any combination of the three. Its probably just different for you to time since you are no longer moving your finger to a new button so try and wait an extra split second maybe ? I hear the rule for SHDF is one as soon as you leave the ground and another one on the way down. Hope that was some help

Personally when i do a SHDF i try A button first then C-stick with the lower part of my thumb.

You should ultimately aim to use the C-Stick for SHDFing, as it allows you to properly space youself afterwards.

I Agree with Cookiez, you should use the C-Stick when SHDFing your Mid-Air attacks.

yes, it is an ok move, i use A for it though, also, it is not a great move, just think in the middle of your short hop Double Fair, fox will sheild grab and start up throw-up airing you. in arpoaching, SHFFL Fair would be a much better option.

i dont think double fair is good for approaching unless you know one of your fairs will hit and it tippers, otherwise its good for camping aka moving backwards and doing it

i'll use doube fair every once in a while but if it's against certain chars I usually prefer SH fair+uair into uptilt/tipper and what have you. As for how to do the double fair, I use A for the first one and then C-stick for the second so I can space with the control stick.

SHDFing has been my weakness as a marth main. Whenever I am vs'ing someone I SHDF without thinking about it (rarely of course). When I purposefully think, "I can SHDF because this person doesn't know how to DI." I always mess it up. I am assuming I just need more practice. I usually use the "A" button when I accidently do it which could be my downfall. I will start trying the C-stick, so I can learn to SHDF and space.

I only double f-air if I can ledge cancel the second one and.. f-air some more.
