1.
assuming i hit my opponent with a double fair and wish to carry them across...should i be trying to sweetspot the blade or hit with the weak portion to keep them in range?

2.
how can i set up for a fair to dair when i'm near the edge?

i know i can shffl a fair and sweet spot which should start the juggle..anything else?

1. Depends on % and DI (doesn't everything?) Against fast fallers you almost always want to tip the aerials. Against floatier characters at higher percentages you might want to avoid tipping, especially if they are low to the ground and your trying to shffl into a f-smash.

2. So many people get used to shffl, that they don't realize that a large percent of the ken combos is set up by a full jumped tipped fair(fair hits normally around the middle of the full jump), to dbl jump dair. Occasionally shffl fair to dbj dair does work, but normally you will be too low to jump over the opponent. So if you have them close to the edge in the air (either from a previously shffl'd aerial or throw, w/e), look to full jump a fair, and if it looks right, double jump dair.

3. Situational, Against fox, I like to fair or >b if they try to jump out and intercept. Mostly its fairs when trying to recover. Only time I would nair is if I was close to the stage and the opponent was edgehogging. And if he was on the edge long enough so that if you nair he will have to roll or get hit. But almost all the time the fair is better since it covers more of the area in front of you.

archnatural is pretty much right. although i haven't seen the video, i would listen to him. on question 2, I don't think it always has to be a full jump. it all really depends on the position of your opponent.

as for question 3 i really meant when i had the ledge and was choosing to recover on against an opponent on the stage waiting to edgeguard...just wondering about range of the hitboxes and priority...for example if the fair is longer then it would make more sense to use that...

If your on the ledge, you have all 4 aerials depending on whats happening. Upair if they jumped or you want to try to pop them up. Nair if you think they are out of range of a fair or if they are at a lower %. Fair if they are close and you need something quick. dair if they did a laggy smash attack or they are recovering from below you. Everything is situational. I tend to use Nair and Upair the most. And mix the other ones in on occasion.
