Well, he might have included the code in the game, like GHIII must have to allow for future DLC, or maybe Nintendo has a way to include it for games made prior to this. Who knows. I just hope Nintendo picks it up themselves, leave Sakurai out of it...

They couldn't of put in downloadable content, because that'd basically require him and the developers to stick with the game forever working on/with the people on the new characters, when it's obvious he has intentions of eventually, you know, working on a game other then Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Sakurai and his team doesn't need to do this, Nintendo could gather their own people, like some people from HAL to make new content.
