don't buy the 89 cent triwing screwdriver from dealextreme

there is a deal on dealextreme.com for a nintendo triwing screwdriver (for opening up controllers) that cost 89 cents with free shipping, i bought one like 6 months ago and it was fine, worked perfectly. but, as reported by someone recently (after i placed an order a few weeks ago for 2 screwdrivers) they changed it to regular screwdrivers that won't open controllers. they probably ran out of the real triwing screwdrivers and replaced them with these crummy phillips head screwdrivers

don't get owned like me and buy the screwdrivers from dealextreme
does anyone know any other sites (that don't take 6 weeks to ship) for cheap triwings? THANKS

incidentally, where is a good place to get new AV cords?

something seems very suspicious about those 3-4 dollar ones

iirc you can use the n64 and gc interchangeably.

i also checked the online nintendo store. it says 4 dollars for refurbished.

@johnny

those 3-4 dollar ones are fine imo
i bought two of them (for two different cubes)
haven't had any problems
the plastic part does feel kinda cheap (the part that connects to the GC/64)

from ebay right? cuz that's where i got them

i'm not ordering anything until next month.

plus i'll probably order from playasia and wait forever by getting the cheapest shipping. unless i get more than triwings.

my priority is a flip top case for my ps2

do you just need a new rubber pad? or is your actual control stick starting to crap out. the rubber pad is super easy to replace but won't actually change the sensitivity/tension of your controller, just give you a fresh grip on the top. if you actually wanted a few control stick you would have to swap out the white controller box, which i have no idea how to do. i don't know if it can be done without the use of solder and stuff. if you want a new rubber pad i can give you one from one of my crummy controllers

actually nvm

it's just a flathead, a regular phillip's head, and a shoulder button
yeah, that's the Rshoulder button and spring from my colbol controller, i don't need it terribly because i can just snag an R button from another crummy controller, but the screwdrivers are my brother's so i want to give them back. plz don't lose it bro

so no one drives 805. oscar buses.

lovage i meant the rubber pad
i always seem to rip it and it's starting to be a problem on my thumb when i play

i guess i could man up, but looking for another alternative at the same time
if you got a broken controller
i need to borrow the rubber padding on the stick

yeah i can give you one if you remind me to bring a spare controller and you find a triwing screwdriver at a tournament.

i won't lose em

and also do you know how to attach the metal arms to the triggers? they always seemed like such a cool way to stabilize the button. does anyone know if they're any better than the plastic shell?
