Hello,
I wish to bring attention to my feature request on Dolphin Emulator's issue tracker for SDHC support: https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/8823
With SDHC support, we can utilize much more space for mods in a form that is easy to access (as opposed to direct .iso editing). Also, some codes (such as the Alternate Stage/.rel loader) only check the SD card for files.
I am trying to get support for this idea so the Dolphin developers take interest in making this become a reality. Voicing your support at https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/ would be a good start. Please remember to be reasonable as this is likely not a small task. If you have knowledge about the SDHC protocol and Dolphin Emulator, feel free to create a pull request for this too. Sadly this task is currently beyond my programming abilities.
