I don't know under what/which circumstances they were playing, but they both looked very "off" their game. They both made a LOT of rookie mistakes which weren't really punished to the extent that I expected, if at all. I hate to pull the sandbag card, but $10 isn't much when you look at what they're playing for in the long run. Who knows...

Umm... some examples, if anyone cares: Ally landed on the ground within Meta's dash grab distance several times, and Dojo didn't punish a lot of them. Instead it seemed like he was too focused on staying spaced and being safe when there was no way for him to get hit... unless he just flat out missed the grab or something.

Also, every time Snake got stuck on a platform, Dojo would upair->nair instead of upair->tornado. There's no reason to use a nair if Snake's shield isn't worn down enough to tear through it. The tornado is a much better followup attack if Snake isn't going to unshield to pull out a grenade.

Overall, it seemed like Ally was really surprised by the diversity in Dojo's mixups, whereas M2K just chose 1 of a few good ones- often just the safest one, which became rather predictable. He didn't use enough mixups to catch Ally off guard.

Thanks for the vids. ^_^

edit: Not to say that I'd be able to beat Ally if I played him either, lol.

Neither of them were intentionally sandbagging.

Ally needed money to enter the brawl tournament and was MMing people for it at the hotel the day before.

It's hard to judge things like that from videos because you can't take conditioning and things like that into account. Instances like that could just be the players observing the others habits etc.

My favorite part in the entire MM is when dojo makes ally roll towards him by clicking his shield. **** was too funny. Especially if you were in the room.

*spoilers*
Edit: This apparently is also the first serious MM ally has ever lost.
