Does your mood affect how well you play?

Well, yes. For me, everything revolves around focus. You see, when I'm playing, I focus on the game, because that is what allows me to play "perfectly". Now, for example, when I get angry I simply lose all my focus on what I was doing and the emotion takes control, and that is what clouds the mind, and when that happens I play really bad. Same goes for all other kind of emotion or state.

So, in a way for me it's not the emotion itself directly the one that affects my way of playing, it's the emotion that affects my focus, which is the key that defines how well I'm going to play. I say this because I've had a lot of times where I'm playing a game and I get any kind of negative emotion, but when I try to restore my focus, I get to play all right again even while being under the effects of "X" emotion, I just don't have to have any bad thoughts.

That's all I have to say about this.

I play best when I'm slightly bored and zoning out just a little. I get into this funk where I can dodge nearly every attack and heavily punish it.

My mood definitely influences how I play. I study pharmacology & take different herbs as part of my profession, so my state of mind is always slanted one direction or another, be it more relaxed, more stimulated, etc, and I have definitely noticed that certain states of awareness are a multitude of times better in terms of competitive play than others. Give me some Ginseng root for example... and well lets just say ZERG RUSH KEKEKE!

A lot. Even yesterday I wasn't feeling great and kept loosing to a not so good Jigglypuff. The main reason is because when I'm not focused a self destruct A LOT. Bad judgments and pressing the wrong buttons... Then I just took a long breath, calmed down and I won all the matches until he quit. This was a great lesson as now I see I can be much, much better than I thought. Is just that the state of mind is very relevant.

(Heck, even Top guys like Mango and M2K are heavily affected by this)

Most definitely for me as well. When I'm livid I play faster and hit more but I get hit a lot, get beaten by the weakest of strategies and fail to notice many easy to read patterns. When I'm relaxed or in a good mood I eliminate my competition with ease.

:rosalina::4shulk:I'm really mad if I switch to one of these two
:4kirby::4megaman::4lucario:Normal
:4jigglypuff::4ganondorf::4palutena::4ness: May be having too much fun
I've noticed that if I'm just playing and then I get mad, I switch to Shulk or Rosalina to cover up my drop in skill, if I play them normally I just want my FG record to look better. When I'm just to excited to care I usually play carelessly.

My emotions are the biggest factor in how I play. When i'm sad, I do terrible, but when i'm happy, I do the best I can
