Does Size Matter?

Anyway, to the point. I've been having thoughts lately about the 1999 Melee list. Ash is on it. That got me thinking. Ask would have to use mainly pokemon right? Well if he had Pikachu how would be be on his shoulder?

Simpler way to explain. Everyone in Melee is about the same size. Pikachu is about as big as Bowser, right? Well, look at Snake. He's about as big as Mario. But Snake is basically a fricken Ninja, so he's tall. My point? Ash would have to be shorter than him. So than him and Pikachu would be roughly the same size. Therefore it would break the system.

BTW, what about the Hands? Are they the size of real hands, and the characters are mini, or are they ginormous, and the characters our size?

isn't the fighters basically just toys or trophies? that means size doesn't matter since toy and trophy makers make things the same size no matter what

Yup, the characters in the games are dolls, for 64, and trophies, for Gamecube.
But that doesn't neccisarrily mean that's how it is for Brawl
But it'd have to be somewhere around the lines of that...

Look at the World trailer. At one point Mario and Snake fight and Snake gets Smashed, while on the bottom Link takes on Wario and Wario gets smashed. It's on the Yoshi's Island stage.

If you look Snake is maybe a few centimeters taller than Mario.

And thats how it is with Samus and Mario in Melee. A few centimeters in our eyes and how tall they are really in the game is a huge different. In the game, snake is like, 3 feet taller or something. Face it, Mario's a freakin' ******.

First of all, Mario is standing perfectly up straight.
Snake is crowching, and besides that, the platform is slightly tilted, which would make it seem like Mario is indeed taller. But it's not that way.

And besides, in a game, does it really matter?

But It's tilting to make Snake taller, So Even if they were perfect, Snake would be barely taller.

Even so, it's barely tilted, and we have still to consider the Snake is crouching pretty low.
And about Link being barely taller than Wario, they're elevation is the same, and Link is crouching as well.

I really don't see why this thread doesn't deserve to be here, it leads to more discussion on a game that I'm personally hyped about. That's not a bad thing, and it's fun to debate on how much I'm right j/p ;D
