Does King K. Rool still have a chance?

In my opinion, he does. Notice how they were Bowsers lackeys who stole the bananas not Bowser. Also, King K. Rool could be in charge of transporting them to Bowser. Overall, King K. Rool still has a shot at being playable or a boss. He is the main villain in the Donkey Kong series and I can't see anyone else in Donkey Kong making it in except for Dixie, who isn't very likely considering the similar appearance to one of Diddy Kong's alt costumes. Maybe Sakurai isn't ready to show K Rool and just shows part of the clip. K. Rool still has a chance, and hopefully he gets in. Peace out:cool:

I think he has a chance to be a character

I certainly want him in the game

I don't think he had much of a chance to begin with.

The fact that it is Bowser's goons, not King K. Rool's, that steal the bananas, makes it even less likely to me.

I dunno how much of a chance he has, but Bowser stealing DK's bananas has nothing to do with it.

After all, Smash Bros is about games crossing over. So far we've got Mario and Pit teaming up, Kirby and Peach teaming up, and Zelda being captured by Wario. Why would DK's story stick to his franchise? It'd practically be DK Country 4.

Anywaym, regardless, i'm not sure what K. Rool's chances are. I'd like to think he has a chance, but who knows?

I see him as a character, since he's been compared to other Antagonists from nintendo franchises, who have made it to Brawl.

This footage shows that it is indeed Bowser behind the banana stealing. You fail.

Personally, I think there are more important, more unique villains to be added before K. Rool.

Imo, I don't think there's ever really going to be any clues about which characters are going to make it. If it happens, it happens.. everything else is basically just speculation. K. Rool isn't someone we should forget about as he does have a chance, but I wouldn't hold your breath even if you believe you have a plausible theory.

I really do hope King K. Rool does make it into Brawl as a playable character, but I'm not sure about whether or not he's going to. Wasn't King K. Rool one of the highest voted for characters on a "Character Poll," in Japan? If that is in fact true, then I think King K. Rool might have a shot.

Maybe as a playable character, but if he doesnt make the cut, then we can always see him as a boss in 1p mode or an assist trophy ^^

The only reason I do not think K rool will get in is becuase nintendo is pretty much trying to through anythign country or rare related into a closet and trying to make people forget about it....

They changed the villains names and hell the new DK games are sooo far away form the country world...

So, just my 2 cents. sadly

Sadly, even though K. Rool has a chance, Im sure he isnt playable if hes in. What with Bowser stealing the bananas, and having a similar body shape to K. Rool, the DKC villain wouldnt add much. And Ninty kinda neglects the DK series somewhat, K. Rool definitely isnt as important as one would think...

i think there is some cool potential of krool and bowser interacting in subspace emissary. plus i like him more than bowser, it be cool if he was playable

The major sign to me of whether or not K Rool might be in it was if they put Dedede, similar in standing to K. Rool, in. With Dedede in, it seems the Sakurai might be going that way with characters...

Have you seen the full Donkey Kongs Subspace Adventure video? When Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong gets the bananas Bowser shows up.

But i still really hope that King K. Rool is in Brawl. Maybe Bowser and K. Rool has allied.

I think it'd be cool for K. Rool to make it into Brawl as a PC.

lol at most villains being heavyweights. Not enough villains in Smash? Not enough heavyweights? Well, guess Sakurai gets to kill two birds with one stone.

yea K.Rool was in nearly in all the DK games after DKC. I dont see why not, he would be the third Dk rep

Brawl is all about crossing over the franchises, so I wouldn't be surprised if K.Rool was off doing his own thing rather than going after the Kong Bananas. Also, I don't think Nintendo hasn't been neglecting the DK series at all. I'd say that they're actually EMBRACING it more now. Look at the newer Mario sports games and the King of Swing games. They have Kremlings and Diddy. Hell, Donkey Kong Bongo Blast is CHOCK FULL OF DKC CHARACTERS.

Once again, they haven't been trying to make people forget it at all. They remade the games on GBA, are releasing the games on VC, and have included characters from the DKC franchise several times in the latest games.

Since when did they change their names? Last time I checked, they were all still the same. Do you mean that "Kritters" thing in the King of Swing games? Because if that's what you mean, then you're wrong again since they were always called "Kritters" since Kremlings have different ranks (which means different names).

Looks like they're bringing the DKC gameplay style back for the Subspace Emissary. Also, Nintendo's been into that whole "let's do something different!" routine with a lot of their games. I do agree that DKC should be revisited, and a part of me thinks that this hadn't been done yet because they want some of the original team to work on it, and that team was with Rare. Fortunately, Rare says they're working with Nintendo on some stuff right now, so DKC4 may be in the future.

I'm not repeating what I just said, but I will point out that K.Rool has been the villain in the King of Swing series.




Now my only question is what exactly K.Rool's moves would BE. I can't really remember how he attacked in the DKC games, but I DO remember barrels. Lots n' lots of barrels...
