A simulator...

Which I guess just limits it to Netbattle, I haven't seen anyone on RSBot for years.

RSE(being the dork that i am) has really affected how i look at pokemon in a good way(if that makes any sense). its how i first got started in the series

To lazy to learn a whole different metagame with no phy/special split (as well as a bunch of other things).

Not to mention very few people actually play it so there's no real point of learning it.

My dislikes of dp do not include the phys/spec split, I could care less about it. I'm indifferent as to whether it was a good change or not.

I just personally played a few years ago, had I started later, I would have probably learnt DP.

Alakazam was viable but not really great imo.

And I'm guessing Shoddy can be set up for 3rd gen, considering server mod boundaries are effectively limitless. I fail to see the point though, as Netbattle is a more reliable program and there would be a ton of bug fixes for the server owner to deal with.

You would have to find people willing to do netbattle though. I bet you could instantly find people for 3rd gen on shoddy.

I don't know of any 3rd gen servers for Shoddy to date, and I'm sure I could find more people willing to download nb in a few minutes rather than coding the entire third generation on a server.

I was kind of hoping for people who used to play it though, which means that they'd already have nb.

I used to play NetBattle, so I'm up for a few games. What server were you thinking of?

edit: I can't seem to find any working servers lol.

There's a new version of nb out that someone else released called NB Supremacy, that's probably why you can't see any servers.

uhh I guess we could just battle on PMNB when you download it.

I guess now that with the rng abuse I can be bothered to make an in-game team, just need to get a DS later.

Screw it I'll learn dp as well. :/

POYSANALY, I prefer salamance.

I liked to use him, Argon, Flygon, Manetric, and Glalie.

I thought it was cool because two of the coolest combinations came out during these games, and that's Steel/Psychic - "Metagross" and Dragon/Psychic "Latios/Latias"

We all love Metagross! Well I certainly do! n_n;

I used to run a CB Medicham with Focus Punch haha. Good times.

I'm gonna go look for this Supremacy thing. I'll get back to you later.

Ah, Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. Would that I could play them now. Sadly, there just aren't as many monsters in that generation as there are now. Still, it's worth playing, if only for the sheer amusement of watching Blissey beat Salamence, AND NO overcentralization on Stealth Rock.
