Your friends are the crazy ones.I want to see if anyone out there plays with inverted control options. I am the only one of my friends that does, it just works for me, and they think I'm crazy. Someone back me up!
Yeah I think a flying game might be better off inverted. FPS though...I wouldn't think so. To be honest though, I mostly play FPS games on the PC, so I don't have too much of an opinion on console FPS.Invert is the way to go. Especially if it's a flying game. Without the inverted controls I'd be smashing into everything.

Amen, brutha.I'm a Goldeneye child, so of course. I couldn't play "Normal" if my life depended on it. Down is up and up is down. Makes sense to me.
Try telling that to the 95% of MLG Pro players who use Normal instead.Inverted is the only way to play.

I've never played any game where you can invert horizontally, what games are these?Inverted vertical yes, but not inverted horizontal.
That confuse me lol.
I have to invert even in 3rd person camera. I was just playing ResEvil 4 again, which inspired this thread, because I play that inverted too, and even though I have no problem with playing it that way, just thinking about it seemed weird to me.I play inverted. I'm not sure why, and I wish I didn't; it's always a pain in the *** pausing at the start of my turn to invert Y. The kane and lynch demo didn't even give me the option. Not that I was considering buying it, but it killed it even deader for me.
Does anyone else who inverts first person get confused when playing in third person with camera controls? In third person, neither invert nor uninvert feels totally right, and sometimes inverting x feels natural.
Yes. In games like Kameo and Tomb Raider Legends I constantly played with the camera settings and could never get it to feel quite right. I've never tried inverting the x-axis, though I've seen the option in a lot of games in the last three years.Does anyone else who inverts first person get confused when playing in third person with camera controls? I can't think of any from the top of my head, but I know some have, and one of my games forces me to use this, which is annoying when you're trying to make jumps, and you spin the camera the wrong way and die.I've never played any game where you can invert horizontally, what games are these?
This, I too lived on Goldeneye as a child and haven't been able to kick the habit. 'Normal' just feels plain weird to me now. I was at a friends the other day and we started playing Left 4 Dead and I just couldn't do it on his setting it was so frustrating.I'm a Goldeneye child, so of course. This again(Goldeneye raised usThis, I too lived on Goldeneye as a child and haven't been able to kick the habit. 'Normal' just feels plain weird to me now. I was at a friends the other day and we started playing Left 4 Dead and I just couldn't do it on his setting it was so frustrating.
Yeah that's the game that made me question my methods, but I still have to invert it for RE4.This again(Goldeneye raised us)
However one thing that always stuck out for me was RE4. I tried putting it on Inverse Y axis and the second I did everything felt wrong. I cannot play that game inverted.
