Do you pronounce 'caught' and 'cot' differently?

Differently, yes. As others have mentioned, the "augh" in caught makes an "aw"-like sound in pronouncing it, while "cot" is exactly as it is spelled.

I'm originally from CA and I say "eether" and caught/cot the same way
