Do you need to set your c stick to attack for a buffered turn around d tilt?

I have trouble doing it with the a button and I'm often doing it to slow. Is it just me or does the c stick have to be set to attack turn around d tilt fast enough?

Yep like sonicninja said, setting c-stick to attack is definitely easier. Doing so will also help in general with your Diddy play, especially if you are learning instant popgun cancel (IPC).

i'm pretty sure you can't buffer a turn around dtilt, you can only buffer 1 action at a time.

you can interestingly hit the opposite direction (left if facing right etc) and down on the tilt stick simultaneously to perform an instant turnaround dtilt, but you still can't buffer it.
