Do NOT Buy These SD Cards

PNY 2GB Premium SD Cards from Walmart DO NOT work for Project M for some reason.

They are labeled as SD, but do not function as such. I ran around town looking for an SD card under 2GB that would work and these were the most readily available ones, and they must be fairly common as some other users are having issues with them. They were also literally the only 2GB SD cards Walmart carries, so they sell them in packs of 2 so they make more money.

I just didn't want this to happen to another person looking to have some fun with Project M. Bite your lip and go to your local GameStop, they will carry 2GB SDs specifically for the Wii or buy one online.

Someone should sticky this post.

I've used PNY for project M for awhile now
My main card for USB loading is a sandisk, but for hackless I have a couple PNY 2gb cards that work just fine.
You may have just done something wrong.

Can refute, bought new SD cards (this time SanDisk), followed same method as using PNY cards, and had no problems opening up Project M in the manner I was trying to do so before.

You say that you've used them for a while now, they may have changed something in their specifications or manufacturing since you last bought those cards.

Edit: Here's Also a list of threads where people are having the same issue with the same cards:

I haven't had a problem with PNY cards at all. If I couldn't run an SD card hackless, I try to use the homebrew version and see if that works. I think the homebrew version you can use any SD card as well as those ones above 2gigs
