DLC Palette Swaps/Costumes ?

If Nintendo does in fact decide to release DLC for Sm4sh, what do you think the potential for downloadable palette swaps and costumes would be?

While 8 costumes for each character sounds reasonable (especially with the possibility of 8-Man Smash on the way), I think that releasing 2 additional costumes for each character, which would total an even 10 costumes, would be in Nintendo's best interests, DLC-wise.

One of the primary reasons I ask this is because I felt like Nintendo missed some opportunities when it came to selecting what would get in the game for palette swaps and costumes. Dark Bowser, Ice and Flying Mario (and to that extent, Luigi), Shiny Charizard (and Lucario), and a host of other costumes come to mind.

I want to hear from YOU. Do you think Nintendo would do something like this, and what do you think would be interesting alternate costumes that could be added to the game?

Just gonna say nonon is best girl but anyways I really like these ideas,I used mr L as a costume all the time when i played as luigi in project m,shiny forms would be nice ,yukata lucina and dry bowser would be pretty cool too

They could release a "64 Pack" or a "Melee Pack" where each of the veterans from those games would get costumes based off their respective models (like Project M did for a few characters) and then the newcomers/veterans not in those games could get costumes based off what they would have looked like had they been included.

That would be hard though if you wear QR designs like myself. But I agree, I would love seeing my personal mayor kick ass.

Anyway uhh I'd love to see a hooded robin, definitely agree with that. A Panne Lucina would be cool too. And more pink versions of characters, heh.

Reclassed Fire Emblem character palette swaps would be nice. I'd probably kill to see something like Sorcerer/Sorceress or Dark Knight Robin or maybe even Great Lord or Paladin Lucina.

ms. pac man for pac man, masked lucina, shiny forms for pokemon, outset toon link and young link (using the 3ds model) for toon link, and maybe even the teminian shield to get even more majora's mask remake announcement hype from people (assuming they intend to at all, but i went on a bit of a tangent, sorry) mr. L, Shadoo versions of mario peach luigi and bowser, X exe etc versions for megaman, and i think a toon zelda alt wouldnt be a bad idea.

They seem to be really keen on promoting new releases with this Smash installment, more so than in the past, so I'd say the designs for the upcoming Star Fox game has a decent chance as DLC, hopefully with Wolf accompanying it. Possibly the same thing could hold true for the Zelda cast and Samus.

Yeah. It seems like a lot of people would enjoy having alternate costumes like Robin and Bowser Jr. I think the costumes would have to change something about the character (such as the voice or actual model) to make up for the payment. I wouldn't mind some costume packs as well! Maybe like a grouping of costumes similar to the pallet swap of Mario's America costume :D. I don't see Nintendo going to the extreme though.
