DLC Character Speculation

Ever since the 54-fact Extravaganza (Learn to count to 50 Nintendo), We've known that DLC is here in Smash Bros. This means that there would've been some sort of speculation thread at some point.

First thing's first, basic rules of DLC that we know of:
1. Anything that hasn't appeared on a Nintendo console can't appear here (Rules out Master Chief)
2. Anything with a trophy, but not Assist Trophy, can be DLC (Rules out Shadow)
3. It has to be possible on both versions of the game, since we know Sakurai's trying to keep the roster identical (Rules out Ice Climbers)

Other than that, there are no wrong answers (At the time)

Here's what I think we have coming:

1. Balloon Fighter:

While he did seem VERY out of the ordinary back in 2008, he has some genuine possibility here. First off, right from the beginning, Sakurai wanted unexpected newcomers (Wii Fit, Duck Hunt, Pac-Man). Secondly, we have a Balloon Fight stage with its own series symbol on the 3DS version. Another thing that makes this likely is that Balloon Fighter was actually considered in Melee, but scrapped in favor of Ice Climbers.

2. Isaac:

A classic character whose assist was removed for the 4th game. He seems to have increased chances by the fact that Little Mac was also an assist in Brawl, he lacks a trophy on the 3DS version, despite its trophies being largely portable-based, and he's quite the popular character recently. In addition, if you pause at just the right time in the Villager Trailer (About 1:36 into it, after Mario lands from the kick from Bowser, but before Villager nets Mario), you can clearly see in the background a character portrait in the style of the ones in the Wii U version. This has a name that seems akin to the lengths of Samus, Sonic and Mario, being about 5 letters. The possibilities here could be Beta Shulk, Tails, Isaac, or Lucas. However, upon closer inspection, the series symbol is unrecognizable, never being present in the series before, ruling out three of the characters I can think of. If you pause shortly before that point, (Which is a lot harder to do) You can see on the other side of the screen the portrait of Mario. Somehow, they're the only ones on that screen, but they both have the Player 1 colors. This is a very strange arrangement in the trailer, as the character's combination of portrait, name size, and series symbol are unlike anything else in the series. On top of that, on a closer look, above the portraits, you can't see a single fighter in the ring. And as if it couldn't get more likely, Camelot, the devs of Golden Sun, are in the credits. While they DO develop some of the Mario Sports games, it does increase the likelihood of a Golden Sun character

3. Pichu, Squirtle, or Ivysaur:
While Pichu doesn't have high chances, it's still there. The real highlight here is Squirtle and Ivysaur. The other transforming characters (Zelda/Sheik, Samus/Zero Suit) got separated, while Charizard is alone, lacking the other two Pokémon he fought alongside. We know that transforming characters were planned at a point, but Sakurai removed the transformation because of the 3DS' limitations. We also know that Mewtwo didn't care about the fact that he has a trophy already, so these Pokémon characters are a possibility, but I think that they'll choose only 1-2 out of 3 of these. This does, however, bring me to the next one.

4. Wolf:
His voice actor is credited, trophy ingame, blah blah blah...... Make it happen Nintendo!

5. Roy:
This one only comes down to popular demand and the fact that he was planned for Brawl. The other two melee vets planned then that didn't get in were Doc and Mewtwo, and we all know how that turned out.

6. At least one Zelda character:
It's Nintendo. Think about it.

Feel free to post your own speculation
