I'm no instructor, I haven't even touched an instrument in about a decade, so this is purely my unproffesional opinion, but I was thinking it might, you know, help a bit if you actualy posted the questions?

So did you actually gamble on finding a music teacher on Smashboards, or have you organised meeting somebody in person?

I'm no music instructor. You really should go run to your local music store and ask one of them for help. Believe me, if they are music instructors, and it's after say 1 and before 5, they will possibly be sober, but definitely doing nothing.

Couldn't you ask the music teachers at your school? That's what I would do... unless of course, your music teacher was the person who assigned this to you, in which case you should probably ask around... those seem to be good questions though...

Your chances really aren't too good here. Most of the people here are either high school students or college students, and aren't likely to be teaching music.

I'm sure there's a music forum on the internet. Maybe you should consider finding one and asking if anyone there is a music instructor.

Well, I sort of am a music instructor. My sister's boyfriend payed me to teach him how to play the saxophone. He stopped after about 10 lessons ($20 per lesson! w00t!) because he got bored of it, though. He also really sucked.

I don't have any musical schooling, though, so I'm not what you're looking for. Good luck, though GamerGuitarist.

My advice: make up an imaginary teacher. Call him Frank Spelling. Then do research on the web to answer the questions, pretending to be Frank.

I wouldn't consider myself a music instructor its more like friends pay me to teach them random songs...

I suggest you figure something out quick and not rely on people online so your not stuck with that paper tuesday night.

Remember to change all your periods to size 14 font though!!!! :chuckle:
