Well since I'm not really a PM player, I'll go from a brawl perspective with some melee in there
Since pokemon is one of the games i've spent the most time on and one of the shows I watched when I was younger, I naturally tried the pokemon in the game, and ended up liking pikachu the best. Eventually I wanted to try some other characters, I am not exactly competitive, but I know what i'm doing with characters like Falco, MK, Toon Link, Wario, and Pit.
I actually played brawl before melee, so I had discovered it later and of course I would try Pikachu first and he was pretty fun but wasn't exactly the best for me, so since I had played a little peach in brawl, I saw some videos of Armada and instantly just wanted to play her even more
