in general how do u DI falcon's combos, since theres a person that can use falcon and hes all over me all the time, (yes, he is a hella lot better than me) and his combos trap me and all i can do is watch my self, awaiting the knee to finish it, and all i can do is DI the knee, hoping to survive it, but its nearly impossible since im already so close to the ledge.

is there certain DI's to escape falcon's combos? or smash DI's to move ur self a bit out of the range or something?

bahh its too hard.

ps. if ur wondering, the combos he put me into are like, nair to nair to uair to knee, or 4x uairs to knee, or something like that. i dun even kno what he does, im too busy looking at my own guy dying.

Both of my friend's CF's aren't that advanced to the point where they can perform anit-Marth combos in battle, so I'll base my advice on logic and theory; I'm sorry if this is incorrect. But...

When escaping combos, the two best ways to DI are either towards the ground so you can tech or with the attack so that it will send you too far. Falcon's NAir and UAir don't send you anywhere close to the ground, so I guess the best way to escape is to DI completely with the NAir and diagonally up - left/right (depending on which way you're facing) with the UAir.

Diagonally down & away for u/n-airs.
Magus is right. Helps to escape dthrows chains against CF at low percents as well. Di'ing that way helps to escape knee combos at lower percents. In fact, DI'ing that way is the best way to escape most if not all combos against ANY character.

Now that the question has been answered, I think it's safe for me to close this thread.
