Are you going to buy the digital or physical copy of Smash Wii U? I am one of the few who's gonna go digital just because I can start it up anytime and I don't have to insert the disk everytime I play another game... And I just don't like having the boxes laying around because I'm not going to do something with them...

EDIT: also ofcourse the 10% money back deluxe digital promotion stuff, and the fact that I don't want any kind of bundle. I don't want a gc controller/adapter and I already have a Wii U....

Physical. Always. I like the boxes. And to save memory on the hard drives and sd cards. :ness:

I'm normally firmly in the Digital camp, but I have to get Physical this time. I'm NOT missing out on the GC adapter.

Yea, I really hate the downloading time too... Luckily I live in the Netherlands and our internetz is one of the best so I am usually done within an hour, but this game is probably gonna be very big so maybay 2 hours :/???

Btw: I understood that reference :)

You're all nerds
physical copies are always the way to go if you wanna save hardrive space

especially since the highest amount of memory the wiiu even has is 32gigs

Always physical, I think it's even worth buying the physical PLUS downloading it as well. You know.....just in case......

Olivia Newton style!~

But yeah, definitely physical here too. Download is convenient, but I highly doubt that on release day. Besides, my Gamestop is about 5-7 minutes away, so I can wait a few minutes than a few hours.

I'm a collector for life, so physical for me. Same reason my Steam library is so tiny.

Physical. That's what I've done in the past for the games I've gotten. Don't see any reason to change that now.

I usually get physical copies, excluding Virtual Console games, download exclusive games and applications, Harvest Moon 3D: Tale of Two Towns, Kirby: Triple Deluxe, and Pikmin 3 (since I got the Club Nintendo offer for Mario Kart 8).

Digital. For most wii u games I get physical because the wii u hard drive kinda sucks. But a game like this that I'll play for a long time even as I also play other games def has to be digital. It'll save me a lot of constant disk switching

Look at it this way... if the next system had compatibility to play wii u games, or if your wii died... you'd want that download back... now is this download linked to an account that you can readily download it as many times as you want? If that's not the case then I would always go for the physical copy.

I'm going with the physical bandwagon here. I am too lazy to start dealing with external hard drives, and the physical copies take up next-to-no memory, so I prefer that. Plus, I do like the boxes. I always have; I guess I'm old-school that way.

Know of any good ones for less than 50 bucks? If not then it's not worth it to me
My hard drive more than paid for itself with the 19% I save on digital games. That's 10% from the Deluxe Digital Promotion and 9% from sales tax I don't have to spend. But the promotion does end in 2015 so I guess it's too late for anyone else to benefit at this point.

You can transfer your Wii data to your Wii U. There's no doubt that the next system will do an even better job of this. And Nintendo doesn't make it easy but it is possible to get back the downloads associated with your account. I broke my 3DS but got all my downloads back with my new one.

I'm going Physical so I can put my boxes next to Melee and Brawl's. (SSB 64 too expensive to get. Maybe I'll just cheat that one and make an empty box for display. :D)

But whenever I get the chance, I'll get the digital Wii U version again. Brawl ruined my Wii's lens TWICE now, so I don't want the same to happen to my Wii U. (Not only in the sense that it breaks it, but also in the sense that if it DOES break it, or something else breaks it, I can still play the digital version).

Physical, definitely. I'm alright with doing digital with smaller-scale games but not with larger ones like Sm4sh.

I always get the physical copy of games when I can. I just like having a physical copy, plus it doesn't take up memory space on the system. Plus, I already know I'm "getting" it and the actual system for Christmas, so it'll likely be preordered.

We're in the digital age. Especially if the system starts getting more games, it's easier to use digital than to have to swap discs.

Physical, because

1. Digital tends to be more expensive than physical over here (they've gotten closer recently, but there's still a difference of about €5-10, even after P&P)
2. Digital would take literally forever to download with my internet
3. I like having the box

Physical.

1. I love the box art.
2. My internet isn't that good and would take forever. (it takes 2 hours to download 1 gb)
3. If someone steals my Wii U or 3DS (they better not) I still have the physical copy.

Physical for me. Nothing wrong with digital though.

But if I want to go to someone's house who's got a Wii U but not Smash I can just bring a game box rather than my entire console.

NOT THAT I HAVE FRIENDS

But, I dunno. Something magical about walking into the store and getting it, you know? And knowing my luck, my internet will be down that day.

1. That's valid.
2. Although that is very slow, Nintendo uploads are still slow even if you have blazing fast internet, which I do. Both MS and PS are also equally slow imo.
3. Someone is going to steal your Wii U but not your copy of Smash? Huh??
