Does anybody think there could be a possible slight difference in the positioning of characters in the 2 different versions? What I mean is that possibly a character requires precise use of attacks, and it could be a general truth that everyone does not perform as precisely on 3DS. What are your thoughts on this?

Possibly, it depends mainly on what stages exist on the Wii U version and 3DS version.

The C-stick will definitely strike a difference, even if its slight.

Being able to use aerials without influencing your direction is really important to characters like Marth and Jigglypuff. Marth being able to move backwards and fair is important to his defensive spacing, and having to move the stick forward and then backwards limits his spacing.

Also, if DI works like in brawl and pm where the c-stick can also influence DI, that'll be important too.

Given the difference in controls and visuals I believe there will be slight differences. Nothing major though.

this seems like a no-brainer. It's like asking if the Brawl tier list would be the same if players were forced to use the Wiimote.
That aside, doesnt 3ds multiplayer lag because its wireless? that makes a huge difference for a lot of characters who require nearly frame perfect timing.
