Diddy should be nerfed

I think it is about time something is done about this. His dthrow gives him too many options. I am seriously hoping for a nerf when Mewtwo is released.

With correct DI, the most you get off a dthrow is one aerial and positional advantage. DI up and in at low %s and all he gets is one uair or fair; DI down and away at high %s and all he gets is a mixup. Dthrow->uair is not a true combo on almost anyone at kill percents.

Diddy got two of the top 8 spots at APEX, and both of them were dedicated Diddy mains and some of the established best players in the world. It's still a matter of contention if Diddy is as good as Sheik.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see his uair get a slight hitbox/speed adjustment, and maybe get his grab made smaller/slower, but it's not needed.

I were to be honest, hoping for nerfs is basically an anti-competitive mindset. Melee has Fox, Brawl has Metaknight. Both had no patches. Both have been played for many years with much enjoyment from its fanbase. The competitive player uses tier lists as a means of study: who to expect in major tournaments and who to focus on for matchup study. It is not a means to complain about opponents.

It should also be noted that SmashBoards is not affiliated with Nintendo. So there's nothing we can do about your complaints or nerf requests anyway. I think there's a thread where some forum member was planning to email Nintendo with a list of official complaints somewhere... but I can't seem to find it right now. Beyond that, I'm not sure what you expect out of nerf requests on this board.

Diddy Kong doesn't need to be nerfed. Any character can be taken down with the right strategy. The diddy hype train will leave soon so give it time
