If you show up to the Tournament WITHOUT contacting one us prior, you run the risk of not being allowed to compete once you are here. RULES FOR COLLEGIATE CREW BATTLES:
Stages:
Neutral stages: Final Destination, Battlefield, Dream Land, Smashville, Town and City
Counterpick stages:
Lylat Cruise, Duck Hunt, Omega stages
Stage Striking and Banning:
To determine who strikes first the starting players will open with Rock-Paper-Scissors (best of 1). The winning player will strike one stage, the opposing player will strike two stages, and the winning player will select the stage from the remaining two. This is a 1-2-1 format.
Incoming players are eligible to select any of the playable stages. Their opponent does not ban a stage.
Game Rules:
Players will begin with three stocks (15 stocks per team).
There is no timer.
Pause is set to Off
Custom Fighters are set to Off. Guest Mii Fighters are allowed, but may only use 1-1-1-1 special moves.
Character Locking and Lineup Submission
At least 24 hours in advance of their scheduled match Captains must submit their lineup of players through SmashGG.
Failure to do so will result in penalties at the discretion of tournament administration.
This lineup must include:
The character each player will use in the battle.
Once the lineup is submitted players are character locked for the duration of that battle. This means that each player may only select one character for the entire tournament, but may switch characters before the next event.
Their starting player
Lineups are submitted double-blind (neither submitting Captain knows the other team’s exact lineup). The starting player must be indicated in the lineup.
Alternate Players
Captains may submit up to 2 alternate players along with their lineup.
These players may only be used if one of the players on the submitted lineup can not participate due to injury or extraordinary circumstance.
The use of an alternate player must be brought to the attention of tournament administration.
Coaching
Between matches coaching is legal for up to one minute. It is encouraged to use a timer to enforce the time limit.
Crew Battle Format
A detailed explanation of how a Crew Battle functions can be found on SSBWiki: http://www.ssbwiki.com/Crew_battle
Crew Battle size will always be 5 players versus 5 players.
The tournament organizer of the event that the match will take place at may overrule the decision of the Captains if a larger battle will not fit their event schedule.
* Collusion of any kind will not be tolerated and will result in immediate disqualification without refund and a permanent ban from any future events held by FX Game Exchange or Tourney Locator. Collusion is defined as "Any secret or illegal cooperation or conspiracy, especially in order to cheat or deceive others." An example of collusion is splitting the event winnings and determining the winner of the event without playing, or manipulating the intended rules to give one player an unfair advantage over others.
