We each have many self imposed hobbies that occupy our time with, many of which are riddled with ideas of how they should play out. Who can say to another person that there ways of going about a favored hobby is insignificant? Would they not experience a defensiveness in reply? The point I will to express is that hobbies are like unto our character, that even picking up a remote and pressing some buttons requires some effort, some concious thought. As 'button pressing' is developed into a full blown experience, complete with soundtrack and other nostalgic retainers, we discover gaming as another aspect of reality. There, we can find industry, management, communities, opportunities; all of which stem from the communication between the developer and the consumer.

With that out of my mind, I can center my ideas in a more personal way and discuss the reason for writing this page. I recognize that days of my game playing consistency are dwindling. The clutter of circumstances chips away at one aspect of my being to make room for other important developments that life has to offer. Like personality represents the character and individual significance, the articles in one's library categorizes a gamer and their identity. Tolerance comes to mind, expectancy, reaction, commitment; I use these terms to describe the position that a person is placed when introduced to product. So, when a person is given the opportunity to purchase a video game, the actions that they take after speaks on behalf of their character. We can determine our ranks between the mediocre and the hardcore.
