detecting a keystroke?

Do you mean detecting a specific keystroke? Or just wanting to trigger a specific action when ANY button is pressed? Or do you want to make a keylogger?
VB isn't the most... shall I say, extensive of languages. It's possible to write that stuff in VB, but the language was designed for other things. I don't know how much code it would entail.
...if you wanted a keylogger, you're best bet is probably to write a device driver. But if you don't know programming at all, that'll be way too much.
